HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/29/2016 Town of Southold Housing Advisory Commission Meeting Minutes Special Meeting March 29, 2016 Present: Rona Smith, Eric Dantes, Michael Herbert, Debra O’Kane, William Dougherty, Denis Noncarrow and Councilman Jim Dinizio. Meeting began at 5:00 p.m. Purpose : To discuss Code Committee meeting. This special meeting was called in response to the code committee meeting of nd March 22 2016. The Committee discussed aspects of two major issues to be addressed by the Town Board. Following are the changes that the Committee discussed and voted on to be brought to the Town Board: Chapter 280 Zoning. 280-26 . Relates to location of Affordable Housing Developments. The recommendation is to remove wording: ‘ HACas opposed to land adjoining and farm and open fields,’ ‘other locations where the project has been shown to . The Committee felt these restrictions were not meet a demonstrable need’ necessary. 280-27 A. Permitted Uses. (a) An owner-occupied Moderate Income Family never Dwelling Units (MIFDU) shall be sub leased. 280-13 (6) (c) The existing one-family dwelling shall contain not less than 850 accessory square feet of livable floor area. Motion: To modify housing density code buy out to be $234,000.
