Roof Structure as Accessory to Pool Permit#28278-Z To whom it may concern: After a preliminary review of the above--named project,the owner had been notified of modifications required to retrofit the structure against wind forces. These modifications included the application of"Hurricane Ties"on all rafter/hip members and additional roof venting to combat uplift forces,and the installation of knee braces at the post plate connections to strengthen the structure laterally(in shear). The structure has since undergone these modifications and has been found satisfactory for its intended use. Further,a test boring was drilled into one of the existing footings to determine its depth. It was found to be about Y-2"below the top of concrete,a depth which would have met code at the time of its pouring. This footing is adequate for the structure it supports.
