POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
523. Amend Resolution No. 522 adding Kenneth Richer, Purser, as a designated signatory on the
Fishers Island Ferry District's ATM account at Fleet Bank.
524. Appoint Councilman Moore and Councilman Wickham to the Southold Town Board
Standing Committee on Zoning and Planning.
525. Appoint Christian Hudson to serve as Youth Member of the Southold Town Parks and
Recreation Committee.

526. Engage the services of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to conduct a land use study in the area of
the Southold Landfill.

Grant permission to Christina Croasdale and Walter Berry for the use of the Goose Creek
Parking area and both sides of other town roads in Southold for wedding guest parking on
August 24, 2002.

Enact "A Local Law in relation to a Temporary Moratorium on the Processing, Review of
and making Decisions on applications for Major Subdivisions, Minor Subdivisions and
Special Use Permits and Site Plans containing Dwelling Unit(s) in the Town of Southold".

Authorize and direct Jamie Richter and Jim McMahon to finalize the plans for the purpose
of SEQRA review and submission to the appropriate permitting agencies for ... of the
Goldsmith Jetty.
530. Accept the resignation of Victoria Orr, part-time Freight Agent for the Fishers Island Ferry
District.
531. Grant permission to Land Preservation Coordinator, Melissa Spiro, to attend an American
Farmland Trust Workshop on September 18-19, 2002 in Sparrow Bush, NY.
532. Authorize and direct Town Clerk Neville to advertise for bids for the replacement of the
Brushes Creek Bridge.
533. Grant permission to the Mattituck High School Student Council to use town roads for their
9th Annual Homecoming Parade on October 19, 2002.
534. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to appropriate
funding for a Planning Consultant.
535. Authorize and appropriate $5,000 as an initial sum to address the moratorium issues and
planning.
536. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to appropriate
donated funds for engineering, control of dogs.
537. Authorize and direct Town Clerk Neville to advertise for the position of School Crossing
Guard for traffic post at Our Lady of Mercy, Route 25, Cutchogue.
538. Set 8:02 p.m., August 27, 2002, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on a retirement incentive.

hearing on the 2% Community Preservation Fund.
Suspend a town employee without pay.
Appoint Valerie Marvin as hearing officer in the matter of the above suspended employee.

Agree to compensate Assistant Cook Valerie Maione for 30 days effective immediately.
