Lanza, AICP, Planning Director Date: November 10, 2014 Re: Planning Department Report Pre-submission SPUD: Ferguson Museum SCTM#1000-9-4-11.1 1109 Equestrian Avenue, Fishers Island As an addendum to the attached SPUD, the Planning Department has conducted a pre- submission review of the proposed interior alterations to the Ferguson Museum and has the following recommendations for this application on behalf of the Planning Board: The Board determined that Site Plan review is not necessary for the proposed interior alterations to the Museum given the unique circumstances of Fishers Island and the existing activity that already occurs at the Museum without any parking issues (this activity would be moved to the new upstairs space instead of occurring in the gallery downstairs). There is ample on-street parking in this area due to the limited amount of nearby commercial uses and the museum is within walking distance of the Hamlet Center. Thank you for your cooperation.
