Since then, the initial carport has been converted into an enclosed garage and two wood burning stoves have been installed. The new owner of the subject property, as of 9/21/15, submitted an building permit application and received a building permit for the following work: • Install a 45min fire barrier wall between the attached garage and the residential home. • Replace the wood burning stove no 1 with a modern "wood burning insert" which will be installed professionally by the equipment supplier. • Remove wood burning stove No 2 and close up the flue. The work has now been completed in accordance with my drawing # 100415 Rev 3, and to the best of my knowledge meets the codes in effect at the time. We are also providing a separate letter from the wood burning insert contractor certifying his work.
