The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its reg~iar meeting held on A~gust 28, 1996 regarding the
above matter:
W~EREAS, Eh-Consultants on behalf of JOHN & M3LRY IRVING applied
to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the previsions
of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southotd, application
dated June 28, 1996, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred te the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
~qEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on August 28, 1996, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
~I~R.~, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
W~EREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 37-18 of the Southeid Town Cede,
W~EREAS, the Board has determined t_hat the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW T~LE~EFOREBE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees gr~t a Wetland Permit to
construct a 4' X 106' fixed walkway (elevated 4' above grade of
marsh) with 4' X 4' steps on inner end, 3' X 14' ramp, 6' X 20'
float secured by (2) 2 pile dolphins. Dock to extend no further
then line of neighbors to east and west, and,
BE IT FURTHERRESOLYED that this determination should not be
considered a determination m~de for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is signed. Fees must be paid, if appiica~ie, and permit
issued within six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

The purpose of this project is to provide mooring
for personal vessel(s).

As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c)), the applicant has
certified that the activity complies with and will be conducted
in a manner that is consistent with the approved state coastal
zone management program.
