Dear Ms. Magnuson: -
With regard to your letter dated March 28, 2016 requesting that the oak tree
located near the water on your property be cut down, the Board of Trustees
determined that the tree may be cut down with the stump to remain and that the
cut tree be removed from the property. Also, the large dead branches in the
trees around the house may be cut down and removed from the property.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this
office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to grant permission for the Board of Trustees to enter my property(Southold County Tax
Map Number:473889 135.-3-40) at 1075 Mill Creek Drive Southold, NY 11971.This is in order for the
Board to examine a diseased tree on the southwest corner of our lawn that we believe should be
removed.There are also dead branches in other trees on the property that need to be removed. As we
have two children, it is imperative that we eliminate any potential hazards in the yard.
Please see enclosed a letter from Shamrock Tree Company that recommends the removal of the dead
oak as well as any dead branches.

I,Jonathan M. Shipman, Board Certified Master Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment
Qualified through the International,Society of Arborist, and owner of Shamrock Tree Company
inspected a property at 1075 Mill Creek Dr. in Southold. I'm recommending the dead oak near
the water on the SW corner of the property be removed.The tree is a hazard-to anyone in'the
immediate area.With small children living on premise this tree is a serious concern. Also,
during the visit I noticed many large dead branches in the trees around the house.Again, with
children these limbs are a serious threat. I'm,recommending the trees around the house have
large dead 'nibs removed to reduce the risk to persons and property.
