I am one of the owners of the two story frame full basement commercial/residential building known as "The Quiet Man Inn" located at the south east corner of Hobart Avenue and State Route 25 (Main Road) Southold, New York. The premises are designated with the Suffolk County Tax Map Number 1000-63-3-8. 2. This affidavit is made in support of my application for a pre-existing certificate of occupancy and use for the building as a drinking and eating establishment together with a second story apartment. 3. The building is the original Southold Fire Station which was moved to this property in the early 1930's and has been used as a store and tavern under various owners till present. The building is over 100 years of age. 4. To the best of my knowledge and belief this dwelling has been used as a drinking and eating establishment continuously since before the enactment of the Southold Town Zoning Code. WHEREFORE, it is respectfully requested that the Southold Town Building Department issue a pre-existing cetificate of occupancy and use for this structure as a drinking and eating establishment together with a second story residential apartment with sleeping and cooking facilities.
