SUBJECT: Foundation Inspection at: 21515 Sound View Ave. Southold, N.Y. 11971 DATE: 2/19/16 An inspection was made of the foundation of the subject house on 2/19/16. The foundation is under a one story wood frame house and is made of 8"x 8" x 12" concrete blocks. There is no basement but there is approximately a 2' space below the floor joists, generally referred to as a "crawl space". The foundation footing does not appear to be 36" below grade as required by present building codes however there is no indication that this condition has led to any structural damage to the foundation. There are no major cracks nor noticeable sagging in the foundation walls even though the foundation and house, located on a bluff facing Long Island Sound, have been subjected to high winds and severe storms for 66 years. Based on the above observations and facts, I consider the foundation to be structurally sound. Please contact me if you have any questions. N �o S.
