Peconic Bay Boulevard; Laurel, New York 11948 Dear Mr. Bredemeyer: I have applied to the Southold Town Building Department for a permit to construct a deck on the bay side of my home on Peconic Bay Boulevard. Mr. Lessard has advised that, due To the wording on the survey, ,.(copy attached), it requires a letter of non-juris~iCti0n from the Board of Trustees. The survey shows "wood bulkhead" at a point 76' landward of the mean high water line. It acts more as a retaining wall, approximately three feet high, that delineates the end of the landscaping and the beginning of the sand. It is not a structure dividing land and water. We then have an additional distance of 45'± from the "bulkhead" to the house, giving us a total distance from the bay, (running @ right angles to the water), of approximately 121'. Enclosed is a sketch of the desk. It is 8' seaward of the house, running 43' across, then back 19' to join the screened porch. It is appropximately 113' to the mean high water mark of Peconic Bay from the deck. If you will supply me with this waiver of jurisdiction, the Building Department will be able to issue the permit, and I can proceed. Attachment thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
