New York 11971 Telephone (516) 765-1892 Fax (516) 765-1823 January 27, 1994 Loretta Hinderling 38 Pickwick Road <manhasset NY 11030 Re: SCTM 976-2-2.5 Dear Ms. Hinderling, The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on January 27, 1994 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, LORETTA HIRDERLING applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated, Noveraber 22, 1993, and, WHEREAS, said application was Conservation Advisory Council recommendations, and, referred to the Southold Town for their findings and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the ToWn Trustees with respect to said application on January 27, 1994 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of LORETTA HINDERLING to construct a 335s.f. of deck onto an existing deck on north side of house. Moved by Bruce Loucka, seconded by Robert Keith, it was RESOLVED to recommend to [he Southoid Town Trustee DISAPPROVAL of the Wetland Application of SARA (:;ICALE 110-7-17 to construct 1-3 ton capstone groin over existing deteriorating 33+/-' groin for purpose of erosion control; maximum proposed elevation of groin = 7'3"+/'-. Two yard tracked payloader to be used for construction; will access construction site from end of Hamilton Avenue. The CAC ~ecommends disapproval because it ~s an inappropriate solution. 1. It is too close to the groin to the west, therefore, it would not be effective. 2. it may increase the erosion to the east, placing the the bulkhead in peril. 3. What is presently there is not functior~ing, therefore, it would not be a replacement. The Council suggests the removal of the gr~in to the west or put down sand. East Road, Cutchogue.
