Hinsch, being duly sworn, deposes and states as follows: That I am the owner of certain property located at 7290 Peconic Bay Blvd., Laurel, New York. That I have been the owner of said property since October 23, 1946. Prior to my ownership of the property, it was owned by my father John H. Hinsch, who purchased the property in the year 1932. In approximately 1932 my father had built on the property, a one family residence and a detachted garage with a bed and bath on the 2nd floor of the garage. The 1st floor of the garage, my father constructed a laundry room. Also located on the property is a beach house which has been on the property since 1932 and was on the property when my father purchased same. There have been no changes to the size of the beach house. However, there had been new roofs constructed on the beach house due to storm damage. There was a Hurricane in 1985 at which time the roof blew off the beach house and thereafter a new roof constructed. I have been advised by the Southold Town Building Department that I should have obtained a building permit to rebuild the roof after the storm damage, and accordingly have submitted an Affidavit for same to the Building Department. I have also submitted to the Southold Town Building Department an application for a pre-existing Certificate of Occupancy not only for the beach house, but also for the one family dwelling with detached garage. There have been no changes to the one family dwelling since 1934 other than the normal general maintenance. In 1996 I replaced the old furnace with a new furnace and duct work for a forced hot air heating system. Said work was performed by a local heating specialist, William Walter of Mattituck, New York. I also installed thermal glass windows throughout the house in approximately 1985. The bedroom and bath for the garage has existed since 1933, and has been continuously used since said time by family members for sleeping purposes only. It has never been utilized as a separate rental unit and there never have been any cooking facilities in the garage. In approximately 1984, I changed the configuration of the laundry room in the garage to make it slightly larger. In 1996 the galvinized pipe leading to the bathroom on the 2nd floor of the garage started to leak and I replaced same. I am submitting this Affidavit in support of my application for a pre-existing CO for the boat house, one family residence, and garage with non conforming bedroom and bath facilities on the 2nd floor. e , 1"Ca' J C.
