NewYadc 11952 63119Ri129 fs631.298.1128 Jufy 11, 2002 Southold Town Building Department Southold, NY Attn: Mr. Gary Fish Re: Certification of chimney work at the Kormendi Residence. 540 Franklinville Road Laurel, New York We have inspected the chimney restoration work at the Kormendi Residence and the following items have been noted: ( Refer to the enclosed schematic Exhibit "A") 1. Existing fireplace (Area 1) has been capped adequately and will no longer be in use. 2. Existing fireplace (Area 2) has had a new 8" diameter stainless steel flue liner installed properly, and will be more than adequate to be used with a gas fireplace insert. The existing flue damper will remain and be re-used. 3. Existing fireplace (Area 3) has had a new 8" diameter stainless steel flue finer and damper installed praperly, and will be more than adequate to be used with a gas fireplace insert. 4. Existing cast iron stove (Area4) has been capped adequately and will no longer be in use. 5. Existing cast iron stove (Areas) has been capped adequately and will no longer be in use. 6. Existing boiler (Area 6) has had a new 8" diameter stainless steel flue liner installed adequately for the size of the boiler being used. fn conclusion, the chimney work has been performed in a satisfactory manner.
