Tax Roll: John D. Hallock unoccupied Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings at the above captioned premises. I picked up keys for dwelling at the office of Rensselaer G. Terry, Main Road, Southold and began this inspection at approximately 11:15 A.M. The dwelling is a one and one half story wood frame structure constructed on locust posts. The ground floor contains a kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, a full bathroom and two bedrooms. Second floor half story with stairway providing access from the living room is one room used for sleeping purposes. Heat is furnished to all rooms from. a forced warm air oil fired furnace located in a partial cellar. This cellar is constructed of cement blocks and is accessible from exterior. Domestic hotwater is furnished to plumbing fixtures within dwelling from an electrical hotwater heater, this unit is located in the cellar. There are a total of six accessory buildings on the premises, two of which are metal storage units. The balance of accessory structures are qood frame structures constructed on locust posts. These buildings were iocked at the time of this inspection and there were no keys provided for insptection of interior. It does not appear that there is any electricity in these buildings. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found: Exterior of dwelling - paint peeling from trim and siding exposing the wood and leaving it unprotected. Article III, Section 52-31B. Structural - open deck on northeast corner of dwelling. The deck is rotted away and there are missing boards at the corner. Article III, Section 52-30 A & C. Entries to dwelling - no means of controlling light at point of entry. Article V, Section 52-56 B.2. Interior protection - bathroom floor covering not ~ight at base of toilet. Article III, Section 52-32 B. Electrical - Living room - ceiling fixture has faulty switch. Article V, Section 52,56 A.1. Lighting - stairway to second floor - no means of controlling light for safe ascent or descent.~rticle II, Section 52-56 B.3. -2- Struc~ura~requirements - cellar doorway - one of the pair of doors is off its hinges. The wood has deteriorated aud the fastenings have pulled loosed. The inside of door the frames is not sufficiently anchored to the foundation of stairwell. Article III, Section 52-30 A. Accessory structures - the wood frame two car garage in the front yard area is built into the ground the siding is deteriorating. The wood frame accessory structure in the rear yard area which appears to have been used for boas storage is built into the ground and the siding is deteriorating from moisture and destructive insects. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in triplicate to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from 13oard of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. 13. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey o~ property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3.
