RESOLVED that pursuann to the Town Code ~n relation ro Coastal
Erosion Hazard Areas, Chapter 37, Section 20, 21 and Town Code
Chapter 97, Wetlands, the Southold Town Trustees, as
Administrator, have determined that the activities proposed by
your emergency activity request are necessary to protect
property and important coastal natural resources.
Reasons supporting this determination:
1. An on site inspection has been conducted by the board of
Trusnees or their authorized representative.
2. The Trustees have considered the emergency request and find
that if the work is not completed as authorized and measurable
loss of property and important coastal natural resources is
likely to occur.
This authorization is noc a permit. You must complete the
Coastal Erosion and wetland permit process where applicable
all authorizations given under this section.

It is my/our understanding that we are to maintain this
structure with materials designed to endure 30 years and or
equivalent to the original approved structure and that for any
maintenance which involves more than 5% in length of this
structure we are to give prior written notice to the
administrator, waiting for their approval in all but true
emergency situation's which would seriously endanger life,
property and important coastal natural resource features such as
bluffs or wetlands. We further understand that failure to
maintain the structure could result in a requirement to post a
bond and or have the repairs ordered as a lien against the
property upon a finding by the Trustees that said lack of
maintenance would risk life, property or important natural
resources features includingpr~,pr ected, rare or threatened
animals and plants.

Instructions:
NOTE: Regulated activities, including but not limited to the
clearing of vegetation and soil cover, may not be commenced on
properties within one hundred feet of the Coastal ~rosion
Management Boundary line or 75 feet of wetlands, Which ever is
greater, unless a Coastal Erosion Management and or Wetland or
Trustee ~ermit or a letter of non-jurisdiction has been issued
by the Trustees for described activities.
A. This application shall be fully typewritten or completed in
black ink and shall, in addition to the application fee (see
back of page), consist of the following parts which shall be
submitted as five (5) copies (1 original plus 4 copies) to the
Southold Town Trustees.

Minor Pr0~ects: A non-refundable application fee of $50.00 for
all projects where there will be less than 100 cubic yards of
excavation, grading, mining, filling or dredging; construction
or modification of open catwalks, docks, stairs, floats, p~ers
and wharves not exceeding slx (6) feet in width; construction or~
modification of erosion protection structures not exceeding 100
linear feet in length; minor building construction of less than
or equal to 25% as denoted in Chapter 37°
Major Projects: A non-refundable application fee of ~100.00
for all projects in excess of minor projects and for any
building construction or modification greater than 25%-as
denoted in Chapter 27.
Inspection fees (all projects): $50.00 per inspection, the'
number to be set by the Board of Trustees at the ~ime of
permitting.
Relocation Agreement(s): When a relocation agreement is
required by Chapter 27, an additional $50.00 project fee will be
required to cover the additional cost of legal review and.record
keeping surrounding said agreement.
Bond Agreement(s): When a performance bond is required, an
additional $50.00 project fee will be required to cover the
additional cost of legal review and record keeping surrounding
said bond.
Variance (fee already established in Chapter 37): Pursuant to
Section 37-32, for any application which will require a variance
the non-refundable application fee shall be $250.00, whether a
minor or major project.
