New York 11971 Fax (516) 765-1823 Telephone (516) 765-1800 May 29~ 1990 Land Use Company 2576 Sound Avenue Baiting Hollow, NY 11933 Re: App. No. 3-2-90-59-0~-21.6-& 21.7 / Georgiopoulos Dear Tanya: The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on May 24, 1990 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, Land Use Company IN BEHALF OF Constantine Georgiopoulos applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit unde~ the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated March 8, 1990 and, WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southotd Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on May 24, 1990 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of -the town, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Land Use Company IN BEHALF OF Constantine Georgiopoulos BE AND HEREBY IS GRANTED PE1LMISSION UNDER THE WETLAND ORDINANCE TO: Construct single-family dwelling, sanitary system, driveway, and place fill to meet requirements. Condition: A 50' (fifty) natural buffer of undisturbed soils and vegetation is to.befLeft from the N.Y.S.D.E.C. Wetland Line landward along said wetlands line on the entire project site. Project adjacent to Freshwater Wetlands at Lake Drive, Southold, NY. This permit will expire two years from the date it is signed if work has not commenced by said date. Fees must be paid, if applicab%e, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified upon completion of said project. Please return to the Building Department for a determination on the need for any other permits which may be required for this project. Just/J.M.O on behalf of Harbor Lights Canal Association to maintenance dredge and place spoil on adjacent beach. The CAC approves provided the dredging is delayed until September to avoid the normal summer complications of dredging and also that the spoil is contained by haybales, etc. to avoid runoff into the cove side. Harbor Lights Drive, Southold Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion carried. On a motion by John Holzapfel, seconded by Bruce Loucka it was RESOVLED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees disapproval of Wetland Application No. 3-6-90-1-4 submitted by J.M.O. Consultinq on behalf of Wiilian~ Riley to construct a timber bulkhead and backfill s~ructure with clean sand. The CAC recommends disapproval because no need is shown and a dock is already in place.
