THIS INDENTURE made the 22nd day of September, Nineteen
Hundred and Fifty—six between ROBERT H. PRESTON and A. KENNETH
MONSELL, both residing at Greenport, Suffolk County, New York, and
ROBERT MUIR, residing at Mattituck, Suffolk County, New York,
parties of the first part, and AUSTIN B. TUTHILL and MILLICENT B.
TUTHILL, his wife, residing at Mattituck, Suffolk County, New York
as tenants by the entirety, parties of the second part,
WITNESSETH, that the parties of the first part, in considers
tion of One and 00/100 ("$1.00) Dollar lawful money of the United
States, and other good and valuable consideration, paid by the
parties of the second part, do hereby grant and release unto the
parties of the second part, and the survivor of such parties and
his or her distributees and assigns forever, ALL that tract or
parcel of land situate, lying and being at Piattituck, Town of
Southold, Suffolk County, New York, bounded and described as
follows: BeGINNiNG at a monument at the intersection of the
southerly line of lincllwood Lane with the westerly line of said
Knollwood Lane; and running tLence along other land of the parties
of the first part, 2 courses as follows: (1) S. 180 13' 00" h.
40.0 feet to an iron pipe; thence (2) S. 430 03' 40" W. 239 feet,
more or less, to ordinary high water nark of nattituck Creek as
found in April, 1951; thence northerly along said r.igF.water, :ra r's,
120 feet, more or less; thence along other land of the parties of
the first part, P . 530 30' h. 245 feet, more or less, to said
westerly Line of Knollwood Lane; thence along said westerly line
of Knollwood Lane, 3. 320 35' 10" L. 40.0 feet to the point of
beginning.
