As proposed, the project is consistent with the area and is considered to be minor under Tidal Wetlands Land Use Regulations. The aoolicant has stated that access will be provided over the fixed dock in the form of steps. Therefore the structure will not restrict movement alona the beach. This condition will be in- corporated in the Permit. We -are all concerned over the introduction of petroleum products to the~water column. True, the addition of five or six boats-'rcan only 6~bmpound any problems that may exist in this area. However, our department does not regulate the use of inboard/out- board en~gines. The-Environmental Protection Agency and the U. S. Coast Guard are the ~agencies which have jurisdiction in this matter. Do any of the interested parties use a motorized boat on the Pond? - Finally, the applicant is not proposing any dredging, and to the best of my knowledge will not be requesting permission for 'dredging in the future.
