The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on August 26, 1993 regarding the
a~ove matter:
WHEREAS, Matthew Mc Kiernan applied to the Southold Town
Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland
Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated June
1993 and,

WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on Thursday, August 26, 1993 at
which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to
be heard~ and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that theproject as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
Matthew Mc Kiernan to construct a 1 1/2 story residence. All
material will be redistributed on property to establish proper
grade. Construct a 4' X 50' catwalk 3' over marshland and
install post to secure small boat, as,per survey dated June i8,
1993. Located ROW off Indian Neck Lane, Peconic.
Permit will expire two years from the date it is sighed. Fees
must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six
months.of the date of this notification. Two inspections are
required and the Trustees are to be notified upon completion of
said project.
Permit will be issued upon payment of the following fees for
work to be done below Mean High Water Mark:
Fees: 40 foot of catwalk @ $2.00 per foot = $80.00 Due

At the July 22 meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory
Council. the following recommendations were adopted:
Moved by John HolzapfeL seconded by Robert Keith. it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees APPROVAL
WITH STIPULATIONS of Wetland Application of MATTHEW
McKIERNAN 86-5-11.5 to construct a 1 1/2 story residence. All
material is to be redistributed on property to establish proper
grade. Construct a Lp x 50' catwalk over marshland (to be minimum
3' over reeds in meadow) and install post to secure small boat.
The Council recommends approval provided the house is located at
least 75' from the wetlands. The Council recommends approval of the
dock. provided it does not hinder navigation.

Moved by John Holzapfel. seconded by John Hagerty. it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees APPROVAL
of the Wetland Application of PAUL RACANO 63-7135 to construct a
timber dock consisting of a 4' x 72' fixed, elevated {4' over grade
of marsh) walk; 3' x 16' hinged ramp; 6' x 10' float with 6' x 30'
outer float arranged in "T" configuration. A 1;, wide x 60' +/- path
to be cut through brush on slope leadin9 to dock and surfaced with
wood chips.
