Present owner seeks to install disturbed area to former condition as a marsh and to re-establish tidal flow via presently blocked drains to marsh to east. He does NOT intend to develop or otherwise build upon this property. All material removed will be disposed of in Town of Southold landfill or other suitable location. The Council approves the project provided the applicant does not leave a ',hole in the ground". The CAC recommends the applicant contact the Cornell Cooperative Extension or an environmental consultant to provide assistance and knowledge to reestablish the marsh quickly and in an environmentally sound way. Any bulk~head constructed directly adjacent to vegetated tidal wetlands must be jetted in with minimal distur- bance to tidal wetlands. Trenching is strictly prohib- ited. Construction of bulkhead and return walls must be completed prior to placement of any fill materials behind such structures. Ail fill must consist of clean rock, gravel, sand and soil.
