The following action was taken by the Board of Trustees at their
regular meeting of April 24, 1996:
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board of Trustees approve the
request for an Amendment to Permit ~3966 to relocate an existing
floating dock (approx. 14' X 22') with restraint piles (4) and
install a new floating dock approx. 8' X 54' adjacent to the
existing fixed wood pile and timber pier, including ramps and 9
float restraint piles, extend r_he existing 9' wide "L" shaped
end dock by 6' and install 2 dual tie-off piles. Located:
Private Road, West Harbor, Fishers Island.

The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has
received a request for Department of the Army authorization for
the following activity:

ACTIVITY:
Relocate an existing ramp, float and pilings and
install two dual tie-off piles, an 8 foot by 54
foot float secured to nine pilings, accessed by a
1.5 foot by 9 foot ramp, and extend an existing 9-
foot wide fixed pier by 6 feet to accommodate the
relocated float. The purpose of this project is
to provide adequate mooring for vessels.

As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable-waters of the united
states. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of t~e Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c)), the applicant has
certified that the activity complies with and will be conducted
in a manner that is consistent with the approved state coastal
zone management program°
