The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of Trustees at their Regular
Meeting held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022:
RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVE the request for a
Transfer of Wetland Permit#1952 from John Dempsey to Anthony & Karen DeLorenzo,
as issued on May 1, 1985 and Amended on August 26, 1992; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVE
the Administrative Amendment to Wetland Permit 1952 for the as-built 4'x200' catwalk,
in lieu of the previously approved 4'x180'; and as indicated on the project plan prepared
by.Anthony DeLorenzo, received on August 1, 2022, and stamped approved on August
17, 2022.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

We are the owners of 470 Haywaters Drive. Please allow this letter to serve in lieu of an
Administrative Application with respect to the above permit.
We are asking that permit for the above mentioned dock be amended to reflect that the
length of the catwalk leading to the bridge and floating docks on the property be changed from
the stated 180 feet to the actual length of the catwalk at 200 feet.
The above is in accord with the attached diagram and the survey of Nathan Corwin dated
October 24, 2016 accompanying this application.
We would like to have the dock permit transferred to our names.

Trustee Meeting held on March 27, 1986.
Your request has been approved by resolution, adopted
at this meeting, for a period of six months. Your permits
will expire on November 1, 1986.
This letter is an amendment to the original permit,
and as such shall be attached thereto.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1. A copy of this permit with supplementary conditions and approved plans
must be available at the project site whenever authorized work is in
progress.
2. The permit sign enclosed with the permit or a copy of letter of approval
must be protected from the weather and posted in a conspicuous location
at the work site until completion of authorized work.
3. At least 48 hours prior to commencement of the project, the permittee
must complete and return the top portion of the enclosed receipt form
certifying that he is fully aware of and understands all provisions and
conditions of this permit. Within one week of completion of the
permitted work, the bottom portion of that form must also be completed
and returneo.
4. If the permittee intends to undertake any project design modifications
after permit issuance, the permittee must submit the appropriate plan
changes for approval by the Regional Permit Administrator prior to
undertaking any such modifications. The permittee is advised that
substantial modification may require submission of a new application for
permit.
5. Those portions of docks, catwalks and ramps which extend over vegetated
tidal wetlands shall have a maximum surface width of 4 feet and shall be
a minimum of 3 1/2 =eet above grade, as measured From the ground surface
to the bottom of the planking. Floating docks shall not rest on
vegetated tidal wetlands at any tidal stage.

6. Docks and floats shall not extend laterally beyond property lines, be
placed so that docked boats ex:end over adjacent property lines,
interfere with navigation, or interfere with other landowners' riparian
r:ights.
7. Dock reconstruction or reolacemen: or seasonal installation shall not
i~volve expansion or substantial modification of existing structures or
facilities.
8. Installation of additional docks at marinas, boat basins, or other
commer:cial facilities is not authorized by this permit.
9. ~o dredging, excavating ~r other alteration of shoreline or underwater
areas is authorizeU-by this permit, nor shall ~ssuance of this permit be
construed to suggest that the Department will issue a permit for such
activities in th~ future.

SUPPLEMENTARY SPECIAL CONDITIONS
T~e following conditions apply to all permits:
A. If any of the permit conditions are unclear,the permittee shall con-
tact the Division of Regulatory Affairs at the address and telephone
noted below.
B. A copy of this permit with supplementary conditions and approved
plans shall be available.at the project site whenever authorized
work is in progress.
C.o The permit sign enclosed with the permit or a copy of letter of
approval shall be protected from the weather and posted in a con-
spicuous location at the work site until completion of authorized work.
D. At least 48 hours prior to commencement of the project, the permittee
shall complete and return the top portion of the enclosed receipt form
Certifying that he is fully aware of and understands all provisions and
conditions of this permit. Within one week of completion of the
permitted work, the bottom portion of that form shall also be com-
pleted and returned.
E. For projects involving activities to be accomplished over a period of
more than one year, the permittee shall notify the Regional Permit
Administrator in writing at least 48 hours prior to the commencement
of resumption of work each year.
F. If project design modifications take place after permit issuance, the
permittee shall submit the appropriate plan changes for approval by
the Regional Permit Administrator prior to undertaking any such mo~i-
Eications. The permittee is advised that substantial modification
may require submission of a new application for permit.
G. All necessary precautions shall be taken to preclude contamination of
any wetlands or waterway by suspended solids, sediment, fuels,
solvents, lubricants, epoxy coatings, paints, concrete, leachate or
any other environmentally deleterious materials associated with the
project work.
H. Any failure to comply precisely with all of the terms and conditiens
of this permit, unless authorized in writing, shall be treated as a
violation of the Environmental Conservation Law.
I. The permittee is advised to obtain any permits or approvals that may
be required from the U.S. Department of Army Corps-of Engineers, NY
District, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278, (Attention: Regulatory
Functions Branch), prior to commencement of work authorized herein.
J. The granting of this permit does not relieve the permittee of the
responsibility of obtaining a grant, easement, or other necessary
approval from the Division of Land Utilization, Office of General
Services, Tower Building, Empire State Plaza, Albany, NY 12242, which
may be required for any encroachment upon State-owned lands underwater.
