WHEREAS, application has been duly made to the Town Superin-
tendent of Highways of the Town of Southold, in the County of Suffolk
and State of Now York, for the laying out of a certain town highway to
be known as
BALDWIN PLACE, and
WHEREAS, HAROLD SIMONSON and NELLIE H. SIMONSON, his wife, and
JEREMIAH C. SOPHR and HENRIE'TTA SOPER ,his wife, aro the owners of the
premises to be dedicated as hereinafter provided and the only persons,
firm or corporation having any Interest in the lands through which the
highway is proposed to be opened,
NOW THEREFORE, the said HAROLD SIMONSON and NELLIE H. SIMONSON,
his wife, and JEREMIAH C. SOBER and HENRIETTA SOPER, his wife,in
consideration o thea= of 01TE 01.00 DOLLAR, to each of thorn in hand
paid, by HAROLD PRICE, Town Superintendent of Highways of the Town of
Southold, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and in f urther
consideration of the laying out of a new highway at Peconic, in the
Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, to be known as
BALDWIN PLACE,
DO HEREBY DEDICATE, RELEASE AND CONVEY TO THE SAID TUWN OF SOUTHOLD,
for highway purposes, the following lends, to wit;-
. ALL that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being at
Peconic, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, bounded
and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the easterly line of Little Nock Road
about 3200 feet southerly along said easterly line from Eugene Road;
being also 25.09 feet northerly along said easterly lino from the boundary
line between land of Harold Simonson and land of Jeremiah C. Soper; from
said point of beginning running through said land of Harold Simonson on
a line parallel with and 25.0 foot northerly from said boundary line,
mogsured at right angles thereto, South 84 degrees 54 minutes 20 seconds
East, 50$.57 feet to the westerly line of a 33 foot road known as
"Strohson Road"; running thence South 5 degrees 05 minutes I40 seconds
West, along said westerly line of "Strohson Road," a distance of 50.0
feot; running thence North e4 degrees 54 minutes 20 seconds West, 501.37
feet to the easterly line of Little Neck Road; running thence North 0
degrees 17 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 50.16 feet to the point
or place of beginning.
