at Cutchogue, Southold Town, Suffolk County, New York, parties of

WHEREAS, by a deed dated August 5, 1925, recorded in Suffolk
County Clerk's office in Liber 1142 of deeds at page 458 on August
5, 1925, Norma H. Fleet conveyed to John M. Engledrum a parcel of
land on the west side of Betts Street at Fleet's Neck near Cutchogue,
Southold Town, Suffolk County, New York, having a frontage of 125 feet
on the west side of Betts Street. By inadvertence, error, and
mistake, the northeast corner of this parcel as described in said

a deed was said to commence at the point of intersection of the west
line of Betts Street and the south line of Glenwood Road.
WREREAS, the parcel then being sold to John M. Engledrum was
a parcel comencing 50 feet South of said corner as measured along
the west side of Betts Street and extending thence Southerly 125 feet
along the west side of Betts Street; and
WHEREAS, said John M. Engledrum on receipt of said deed went
into possession of the correct parcel 50 feet South of said street
intersection add remained in possession until his death, and
WHEREAS, by a deed dated July 22, 1937 recorded in said office
September 21, 1937 in Liber 1945 of deeds at page 44.6, Ruth M.
Engledrum, widow of said John M. Engledrum, conveyed the premises
to the second parties herein and that they, then in 1937, went into
possession of said premises and have continuously remained in
possession thereof to this day, and
WHEREAS, Norma H. Fleet subsequently married one Beattie and
under the name of Norma H. Fleet Beattie and by a deed dated April
27, 1937 recorded June 4, 1937 in said office in Liber 1924 of deeds
at page 180 did convey the 50 foot lot lying between the premises
intended to be conveyed to John M. Engledrum and the South side of
Glenwood Road to Dr. S. Huyler Eldred who thereupon went into
possession of said 50 foot lot lying to the north of the Engledrum `
lot, and he and his successors in interest have been in possession C:1

thereof continuously since to the present time, and 'moi
WHEREAS, it appears from the foregoing that the respective
purchasers have been in '•`d
p possession of the correct properties, but

the descriptions contained in the recorded deed to Sohn M.
Engledrum and his grantee are in error.
NOW, THEREFORE, to correct said error and mutual mistake, the
parties of the first part in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00),
lawful money of the United States, to them in hand paid by the
parties of the second part, do hereby grant and release unto the -
parties of the second part, their heirs, successors and assigns
forever,
ALL that parcel of land with the improvements thereon situate
at Fleet's Neck near Cutchogue, Southold Town, Suffolk County, New
York, bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a monument set in the westerly side of Betts
Street distant 50 feet southerly as measured along the westerly side
of Betts Street from the corner formed by the intersection of the
westerly side of Betts Street with the southerly aide of Glenwood
Road; thence running Southerly along the westerly side of Betts
Street a distance of 125 feet to land now or formerly of Bruno H.
Ahlers and wife; thence running westerly along land of said Ahlers
100 feet; thence running Northerly a distance of 125 feet to the
southerly line of land now or formerly of William F. Heneghan and
wife; thence running Easterly along last mentioned land North 630
36' 30m East 100 feet to the point or place of beginning.
This deed is made by the parties of the first part for the
reason that they are the devisees and successors in interest of
Norma F. Beattie as to all real property situate at Fleet's Neck,
Cutchogue, Southold 'Town, New York, under the terms of her Will
probated in Surrogate's Court, Suffolk County.
