Box 1179 Southotd, New York 11971 Telephone (516) 765-1892 Fax (516) 765-1823 BOARD OF TOWN TRUSTEES TOWN OF SOUTHOLD February 28, 1995, 1995 John Crokos 23 Cathedral Ave. Garden City, NY 11530 Re: SCTM $14-2-3.11 Dear Mr. Crokos, The following action was taken by the Board of Town Tru~stees during its regular meeting held on February 28, 1995 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, JOHN CROKOS, applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area of the Town of Southold, application dated January 11, 1995, and, WI{EREAS, said application was Conservation Advisory Council recommendations, and referred to the Southold Town for their findings and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on February 28, 1995, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to De heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board menf0ers have personally viewed and are falailiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 37-18 of the Southold Town Code, which will be listed on a separate page, and, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will nou affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of JOH~ CROKOS for the installation of a 140' c~clone fence with condition that the north end portion of fence b~disconnected with the east & west portion (corner). Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit isSued within six months of the date of this notification. Two yard tracked payloader to be used for construction; will access construction site from end of Hamilton Avenue. The CAC recommends disapproval because it ~s an inappropriate solution. 1. It is too close to the groin to the west, therefore, it would not be effective. 2. It may increase the erosion to the east, placing the the bulkhead in peril. 3. What is presently there is not functioning, therefore, it would not be a replacement. The Council suggests the removal of the groin to the west or put down sand. East Road. Cutchogue.
