Contamination of tidal wetlands and the waters of New York State by suspended solids, sediments, fuels, solvents, lubricants, epoxy coatings, paints, concrete, leachaEe or any other environmentally deleterious materials associated With th~ pro3ect is prohibited. Trenching is strictly prohibited. This permit authorizes the use of filter fabric behind the bulkhead sheathing to retain backfill. Scour protection consisting of a 6 to 12 inch layer of I0 to 20 pound stones covering the backfill is also authorized, provided that the ~co~P protection is underlain by filter fabric. No mining, excavation or grading of be~hes or other areas seaward of the bulkhead is authorized.
