Use of asphalt, slag, flyash, broken'concrete or demolition debris is prohibited. Contamination of tidal wetlands and the waters of New York State by suspended solids, sediments, fuels, solvents, lubricants, epoxy coatings, paints, concrete, leachaEe or any other environmentally deleterious materials associated With th~ pro3ect is prohibited. Any debris or excess material from construction of this project mus~ be i~ediately and completely removed from the project area and disposed of ata~ approve~' upland site. Disposal of debris in tidal wetlands is prohibited. Any bulkhead constructed directlY adjacent to vegetated ~idal wetlands iS ~o ~e jetted in with minimal disturbance to the tidal wetland. Trenching is strictly prohibited. This permit authorizes the use of filter fabric behind the bulkhead sheathing to retain backfill. Scour protection consisting of a 6 to 12 inch layer of I0 to 20 pound stones covering the backfill is also authorized, provided that the ~co~P protection is underlain by filter fabric. No mining, excavation or grading of be~hes or other areas seaward of the bulkhead is authorized.
