The validity of this permit is or may be subject to the approval of other governmental or municipal
authorities. The Town accepts no responsibility in applying for or obtaining such approval. In the
event that such approval is necessary, the holder of this permit shale not commence'operations here-
under until such approval has been obtained in writing. The failure to obtain such other approval when
required shall subject this permit to immediate revocation by the Trustees upon receipt by the
Trustees. of written notice from such other governmental or municipal authorities of its refusal or
disapproval.
The applicant does by the acceptance of this permit, assume all responsibility for operations under-
taken pursuant to this permit, and shall take all precautions for the prevention of injuries to persons
and property resulting from such operations. By such acceptance, the applicant also agrees to indemni-
fi/ and save harmless the Town, and its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims arising
from operations under this permit and any and all acts or omissions of applicant, his agent and
employees.
The applicant and the owner and occupants of the premises u pon which the operations authorized by
mis permit are being conducted, do, by the acceptance of this permit, give consent to the Town, and
its officers and employees to enter upon the premises where such operations are being conducted to
make such inspections as the Town may deem necessary to insure that such operations are being con-
ducted in conformity with this permm
This ooeration will not substantially: A. Adversely affect the wetlands of the town.
B. Cause damage from erosion, turbidity or siltation.
C. Cause saltwater intrusion into the fresh water resources of the town.
D. Adversely affect fish, shellfish or other beneficial marine organisms, aquatic wildlife and vege-
tation or the natural habitat thereof.
E. Increase the danger of flood and storm-tide damage.
F, Adversely affect navigation on tidal waters or the tidal flow of the tidal waters of the town.
G. Change the course of an,/channel or the natural movement or flow of any waters.
H. Weaken or undermine the lateral support of other lands in the vicinity.
I. Otherwise adversely affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town.

The following action was taken by the Board of Trustees at their
regular meeting held on July 31, 1986 regarding the above referenced
matter.
Moved by Trustee Bredemeyer seconded by Trustee Goubeaud it was
RESOLVED that the request made by The Land Use Company on behalf of
Stanley Chase for an extension on permit no.'s 1919-i93, 1920-194 and
1919-225 is hereby DENIED and it is further advised that new applications
will be necessary for these projects.

We have recei'ved a request for Department of the Army authorization
for the following activity:
ACTIVITY: Construction of three similar T-shaped pier assemblies on
three sepaWate lots. On Lot A, a 130-foot by 4-foot fixed pile-supported
pier, a hinged walkramp and a 20-foot by 6-foot float would be
constructed extending approximately 110 feet offshore of the line of
mean high water. The piers on Lots B and C would oiffer im the length
of the fixed piers, being 140 feet and 45 feet long and extending
approximately 110 feet and 50 feet offshore of mean high water,
respectively. Each pier would be elevated 3½ feet over the grade of
the marsh;

the coordination required, prior to the issuance of a Letter of

Pursuant to Section 307(c) of the Coastal Zone Management Act
of 1972 as amended (16 UoS.C. 1456(c)), the applicant has certified
that the activity complies with and will be conducted in a manner that
is consistent with the approved state coastal zone management program.

NOTICE OF NO SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Dated: October 26, 1984
Pursuant to Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law
State Environmental Quality Review and 6NYCRR Part 617, Section
617.10 and Chapter 44 of the Code of the Town of Southo!d, notice
is hereby given that the Southold Town Trustees, as lead agency
for the action described below, has determined that the project,
which is unlisted will not have a significant effect on the
environment.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
Application of Stanley Chase for a permit under the provisions of
the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold to install.a fixed
dock leading to a ramp and float secured by spiles on property
located on the e/s of South Drive, Mattituck.
The project has been determined not to have a significant
effect on the environment for the following reasons:
~ environmental assessment has been submitted which indicated
that ~ significant adverse effect to ~he environment are
occur~hould the project be implemented as planned, likely to
B%cause there has been a response from the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council indicat~ng that this project would
not have a significant effect to the environment.
Because there has been no response in the altoted time from the
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the
Southold Town Building Department, it is assumed that there are no
objections Nor comments from those agencies.

Council at a regular meeting held Tuesday, October 23, 1984.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees,approval of
the wetland application 9224 submitted by Mrs. June Hussey to re-
place 100 feet of existing bulkhead. East Creek, Cutchogue.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application 9225 submitted by Stanley Chase to
install dock and ra~p and float. Mattituck.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~2,26 submitted by Stanley Chase to
install dock, ramp and float secured by two spiles. Mattituck.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~227 to install dock, ramp and float
secured by two spiles. ~ Dock to be elevated 3' over tidal wetlands.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #228 submitted by Eh-Consultants, Inc.
on behalf of Strong's Marine Center to construct retaining wall
and backfill, fApproval is recommended on the condition that all
dredging done be at least 6 feet from existing spartina grass.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southotd Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~229 submitted by Carlo DeGaudenzi to
construct bulkhead and install floating dock, ramp and maintenance
dredge. Ole Jule Lane, Mattituck.
RESOLVED to recommend to ~he Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~230 submitted by Latham Sand and Gravel
Inc, for Bess Pulitzer to repair bulkhead. Conditional approval
given providing any excavated areas where there is spartina grass
the grass must be replaced.

agency in regard to the State Environmental Quality Review
Act in the matter of the application of Stanley Chase for a

Sept. 7, 1984
Called Mr. Cole, DEC office. He advised an administrative
review was done. No objections to the project, but would
suggest that no dredging for the future.
