Marshall Frost cottages: one vacant, one with tenant Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings on the above captioned premises. I was admitted to buildings by Mr. Frost who accompanied me during this inspection that began at approximately 1:30 P.M. The cottage on northerly end of property is a one story wood framed structure constructed on a concrete block foundation and contains one bedroom, half bathroom, full bathroom, dining room, living room and kitchen. Heat is furnished to building from a gas fired floor mounted space heater located in dining room approximately centered in building. The bedroom, which was added to under Building Permit 9014Z, and bathrooms have baseboard type electric heat elements with individual thermostat controls. Domestic hotwater is furnished to all plumbing fixtures within dwelling from a gas fired hotwater heater located in partial full cellar. Cellar is accessible by exterior stair on side of building. The southerly cottage is a one and one half story wood framed shell structure constructed on wood posts. Northerly side one story section containing utilities is constructed on cement block found- ation with concrete slab. First floor contains a full bathroom, front entry vestibule that contains gas fired hotwater heater and electric water pump. A kitchen, dining room, and living room with fireplace. Second floor contains three bedrooms. A roofed over open porch protects south entry to living room. Hotwater is furnish- ed to all plumbing fixtures within dwelling. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found: North Cottage Cooking Gas range -no shut off valve at unit. Article V, Section 52-52 B.2. South Cottage Lighting -Stairway to second floor, no light for safe ascent or descent. Article II, Section 52-26 B.3. Heating -no means of providing heat for occupancy be- tween e- tty e 5th of September and 31st day of May of the following year. Article V, Section 52-53 A.I. Housing Code Inspection -2- H. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and .similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: I. Accurate survey • of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3.
