April 28, 1959
A special meeting of the Southold Town Board of
Appeals was held on Tuesday, April 28, 1959, 7:30 P.M.
at the Town Clerk's Office, Main Road, Southold, New
York.
There were present: Messrs. Robert W. Glllispie,
Jr., Chairman, Herbert Rosenberg, and Serge Doyen, Jr.
Absent: Messrs. Robert Bergen, and Charles
Gregonis, Jr.
Also present: Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building
Inspector.
Upon motion offered by Mr. Rosenberg, seconded by
Mr. Doyen and carried, it was Resolved that the Board of
Appeals set time and place for hearing on the application
of Elizabeth T. King for Lela Tucker, Orient, New York,
for a variance in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance,
Article IV, Section ~OO, as it refers to Article III,
Sectihn 303, and Article X, Section IOOOA, for permission
to reduce frontage and use as a single lot property
located on the west side of Youngs Road, Orient, New
Y~rk, bounded north by E. H. King, east by Youngs Road,
south by E. H. King, and west by E. H. King, and the
place was fixed for 8:30 P.M. (E.D.S.T.), May ?, 1959,
at the Town Clerk's Office, Main Road, Southold, N.Y.

By Resolution offered by Hr. Do~en, seconded by Hr,
Rc~enberg and unanimOUSly carried, 8.~SP.N. (E.D.S,T.),
May 5, 1959was~set for the hearing upon application of
~, HalseY B~oWn, l~ainRoad, (Route 25)tEastl~arion, New
Xork, for.a special exception inaccordance with'Zoning
Ordinance, Article IV, Section ~08, Subsection A, for
permission to erect and ~aintain a real estate advertising
sign on the northeasterly corner of property of Royal Toner,
35 feet south of the ~ainState Road, Greenport, New York.
Vote of the Boards Ayesl- Hr. Oillispie, Hr. Hosenberg,
and Hr. Doyen.
Upon Resolution offered By Hr. Rosenberg, seee~ded by
~Doyen and carried, 9~O0 P.No (E.D.S.T.),'M~Y 5, 1959 at
TO~n Clerk's Office, Main Road, Southold. New York, was
set for the hearing upon application of Harold R. Reeve &
Sons, for Clarence Tuthill, Mattituck, New York, for.a variance
in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article IYI, Section
307,~ for permission to reduce west side yard On property
located on the south side of Main Road, Mattituek, NeW York~
bo~,r~ed north by Main Road, east by F. Sidor, south by C.
Malot, and west by G. Fills.

By notion of~r. Doyen, seconded by Mr. Rosenberg, it-
was Resolved to hear the application of Paul's Servicenter,
North Road, Peconic, New York, fora-special-exception in
accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section
300, Subsection 1 l, for permission to erect and maintain an
advertising Sign 125 feet east of the servicenter on the
south side of the North Road (_Route 27A), property bounded
north by'North Road (Route 27A), east by K. Case, south by
Railroad, ~ west by road.
