HOUSING CODE INSPECTION
October 27, 1972

Southold, New York
Tax Roll: Donald and Helen Foster
Occupied: Mark Gagen and family
Upon request of the Southold Town Building Department
I made inspection of this two story framed dwelling and
found the following violations of Local Law #1, Housing
Code of the Town of Southold.
I was admitted by Mrs. Gagen at the south entrance
to kitchen and starting inspection at approximately 1:30
p.m.
Kitchen: Gas range and gas oven built-ins - no shutoff
valve at units - Section 508b.
Bathroom: (first floor) inside room, no mechanical means
of venting - Section 215d. Ceiling, loose plaster -
Section 303c.
Bedroom: (first floor) open crack in ceiling sagging
and loose - Section 303c.
Living Room: Outside entrance, no light switch at
entrance to control light in room - Section 529b.
There is an attached garage on the rear of the building
which was padlocked by Mr. Foster which contains machinery
belonging to Mr. Foster. I was unable to make inspection of
this section of building.
I completed inspection at roximately 1:55 p.m.
