Upon receipt of application for Pre-existing Certificate of
Occupancy I made an inspection of buildings on these premises
and found the following violations of Housing Code, Chapter
52, Town of Southold. I admitted myself to the main dwelling
with keys provided by applicant and began inspection at
approximately 1:50 P.M.
Main dwelling, one story, consists of kitchen, full
bathroom., two bedrooms, living room, dining room, and an
enclosed front porch. Heat is supplied to all rooms from
gas fired forced warm air furnace in partial cellar.

Three-way electrical receptacle mounted on window
mullion wired with lamp cord. Article V, Section

Kitchen, gas cooking range, no shut-off valve at unit.

Bedroom - center west side - three way electrical
receptacle wired with lamp cord, mounted on surface of
baseboard. Article V, Section 52-56 A.1.
Front entrance to enclosed porch - no means of con-
trolling light at entry. Article V, Section 52-56 B.2.
Accessory Building with apartment, two story framed.
First Floor, one car garage and work shop area. South

e~ of building has attached lean-to storage area.
Water pump, gas fired hot water heater and an enclosed
shower are located under stairway on east side of building.
A gas cooking range is located in the northwest corner.
Interior of ground floor is not completed.

Inspection completed at approximately 2:30 P.M. Keys
were returned to our office.

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of nll buildings, property lines, streets; and,
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
