~ APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY INSTRUCTIONS

A_ This application must be filed in typewriter OR ink and submitted to the Building
Inspector with the following; for nev buildings or nev use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines,
streets, and unusual natural or topographic fcatures_ '
2. Final approval of Dealth Dept. of eater supply and sewerage-disposal(S-9 form).
3_ Approval of electrical installation from Board of Firc Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that solder used in system contains less"
than 2/10 of IX lead.
5. Commercial buildings, industrial buildings, multiple residences and similar,
buildings and installations, a certificate of code compliance from the Architect
or Engineer responsible for [he building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plao requirements.
B. For eais[ing buildings (Prior [o April 9, 1957 non-conforming uses, of buildings
and "pre-existing" land uses: '
1. Accurate survey of property shoving all property lines, streets, buildings and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. A properly completed application, a consent to inspect signed by [he applicant
and a certified abstract of title issued by a title company which shall
shoe single and separate ownership of Che entire lot prior to April 9, ]957.
. If a Certificate of Occupancy is denied, the Building Inspector shall state the
reasons therefor in writing to the applicant.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other
pertinent information required to prepare a certificate.
C. For Vacant Land Certificate of Occupancy:
1. An application for vacant land Certificate of Occupancy shall be submitted,
and a certified abstract of title issued by a title company shoving single and
separate ownership of~the entire lot prior [o April 9, 1957 shall also accompany
the application. If a Certificate of Occupancy is denied, the Building Inspector
shall state the reasons therefor in writing to the applicant.

of the Town of Southold to enter upon the above described property, including
any and all buildings located thereon, to conduct such inspections as they may
deem necessary with respect to the aforesaid application, including inspections
to determine that said premises comply with all of the laws, ordinances, rules
and regulations of the Town cf Southold.

knowledge and understanding that any information obtained in the conduct of
such inspections may be used as evidence in subsequent prosecutions for vio-
