Edwards & Wf Occupancy: Seasonal Upon receipt of application for Pre-Existing Certificate of Occupancy, I made an inspection of this two story framed dwelling and found the following violations of Housing Code, Chapter 52, Town of Southold, New York. I was admitted to premises by Mrs. Edna Brown who accompanied me during inspection which began at approximately 3:10 P.M. First Floor consists of kitchen, toilet room, dining room and living g room. A small room between kitchen and dining room is where gas fired hot water heater is located. A trap door in floor allows access to partial cellar. Kitchen - gas cooking range, no shutoff valve at unit. Article V, Section 52-52 B.2. Exterior - entries to kitchen and living room - no means of controlling light in room on entry. Article V, Section 52-56 B.2. Second Floor consists of five bedrooms and one full bathroom. Bathroom requires moisture resistant floor covering - wood flooring b~~ back of toilet bowl rotted. Article III, Section 52-32 D. - Article I2, Section 52-26 A. Building has no central heating system and occupancy between November 1st and May 1st is not permitted. Article V, Sec. 52-53 A.1. Exterior Trim - windows and facia require painting. Shingle siding deteriorating, loose and missing shingles. Article III, Sec. 52-31 B. Porch Flooring buckling and deteriorating. Steps to screened section of porch and steps to kitchen entrance uneven, loose, and deteriorating. Article III, Sec. 52-30 A. - C. Accessory Buildings - utility, work-shop with enclosed tower - adjacent to north side of dwelling - water pump and main electrical service is located in this budding. On the north end just off property line there is a two car garage. Housing Code Inspection - 2 - Auqust 19, 1974 Edward B. Edwards & Wf Water Pump electric switch box hanging by BX conductor. Article V, Section 52-56 A.2. Exterior trim and wood shingle siding on both accessory structures requires maintenance - facia and shingles loose and deteriorating. Article III, Section 52-31 B. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPL{CATE to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurote location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where app{icoble. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses; 1. Accurate survey of property showing oll property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in- formation required to prepare a certificate. C. Fees: 1.
