POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
234. Declare a Johnson 2000 outboard motor surplus at the Police Department and authorize and
direct Town Clerk Neville to advertise for its sale.
235. Adopt the advisory award of Arbitrator Sirefman in its entirety with regard to the Ross
grievance.
236. Authorize the closure of Love Lane in Mattituck on June 2, 2002 to facilitate the trimming
of trees.

Appoint Charles Burgess to the position of part-time ferry captain for the Fishers Island
Ferry District.
Authorize and direct Solid Waste Coordinator James Bunchuck to advertise the Household
Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day in the April 1 lth editions of the Suffolk Times and Traveler
Watchman.
Grant permission to Joseph Blados and George Rohrbach, Highway Department mechanics,
to attend "Troubleshooting Hydraulics" School/Seminar April 10-12, 2002 in New Jersey.

Grant permission to Town Clerk Neville to attend the 20th Annual New York State Town
Clerks Association Conference April 21-24, 2002 in Saratoga Springs.
Recognize the week of April 28 - May 4, 2002 as "Municipal Clerks Week".
Accept the resignation of Joan Horton from the Southold Town Health Benefit Plan Board
of Trustees and authorize Town Clerk Neville to advertise for r~sum~s.
Authorize modification to the Highway Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to cover attendance
at school/seminar.
Resolution in opposition of the proposal to remove certain Cultural Education offices in the
New York State Education Department and incorporate a new Institute for Cultural
Education.
Rescind resolution #187, March 12, appointing Henry F. Santacroce as a part-time Minibus
Driver for the Human Resource Center, as he declined the offer.
Approve the application of Brett Hamilton to locate a temporary house trailer on his
property.
Terminate the employment of Andre Edwards, part time Minibus driver at the Nutrition
Center.
Grant permission to the Southold Historical Society to hold a Civil War Encampment on the
Museum Grounds May 25-26, 2002.

Grant permission to the Mattituck Lions Club to hold their annual Strawberry Festival and
Country Fair, Route 48, Mattituck, June 14-16, 2002.
Permit members of the Board of Town Trustees to enroll in the CSEA Employee Benefit
Fund at each member's expense.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to appropriate funds
for Easter flowers.
Approve "Application for Appeal to the Coastal Erosion Hazard Board of Review".
Determine that the purchase of the development rights on approximately 29.55 acres of the
agricultural lands of Cullinane, SCTM # 1000-19-1-1.2, would have no significant negative
impact on the environment; and authorize the purchase of said development rights.
Appoint Greg Yakaboski as Town Attorney.
