The floor framing is 2" x 8" floor joists at 16" on center,running east-west,with a span of 9'-10"(+/-). The floor,wall, and roof insulation is R-11. This date was confirmed by the New York State representative at last week's Energy Code Seminar. As stated in the plans,the walls,floors,and ceiling are insulated with R-11. The Heneghan family had owned this house since 1955,and the alteration of the garage to Diming Room was completed around 1975,prior to the NYS Energy Code.
