P.~. on September 4, 1958 ia the Town Clerk's Office, Southold, New York.
There were present: Messrs. Robert W. Gillispie, Jr.w Ct~.~iraan; Robert Bergen,
Herbert Rosenberg and Ch;-les Grig~nis, Jr.
Absent: Mr. Serge Doyen, Jr.

The Chairaan opened the hearing by reading the application, letter to Kwasneaki
& Powell, a/c Fred Baxter, advising of date of public heariag and asking the~ te
preee~t a plot pla~ ahowiag right of ~ ~ proposed driveway %o dwelltn£, an~
legal notice of public heariag with affidavit attesting t~ its publication in the
local newspaper.
Chairman: Is there anyone present who wishes to speak for this appeal?
Mr. Baxter was ~resent and exp]~n*~ that he had nothiag t~ add to vhat had
already been explained ia the application. The Chair~a~ then asked if there was
anyone present who wished to speak against the appeal and there was no response to
this question.

for a variance due to lack of access. No fee paid.

advising of date of public hearing and legal notice of hearing with affidavit atteetiug
to its publication in the local newspaper.
In response to the Chairman's questioning as to whether there was a~one present
who wished to speak for the appeal Mr. Wic~b_~m advised that the right of way in
question was aentioned in hie deed as a middle right of way a~d pointed out the
right of way on a survey by O.W. Va~Tu~l & Son, Greenport, N. Y.
There was no one present who wished to spe*~ against the appeal and the Board
u~aalaously agreed to grant the variance with approval of a 16.5' right of way at
right _~n8lee free the northerly lin® of property of F. ~. Baxter, running easterly
fro~ Old Harb~r Road, New Suffolk, as described in the above mentioned survey dated
Oct. 2~, 1957.

The Minutes of the August 2~th meeting were read. On motion duly ~ade by
Mr. Rosenberg and seconded by Mr. Bergen, and carried, Minutes were approved as

Fee Paid - $15.00.
Chairman read the application with accompanying deed description, letter to
applicant advising of date ef public hearing and legal notice of hearing with
affidavit attesting to publication in the local newspaper.
Chairman asked if there were anyone present who wished te speak for the appeal.
~r. Gray was p~esent, along with his brother Mr. Peter Gray and Mr. Gerald B. Howell.
Mr. ~ray stated that the lot was appr~Al~ately 60' x 150' --d stated that full
description was ~ontained in the attachment to the application.
There was no one present wishing to speak against the appeal.
By resolution ef the Board it wee determined that the lot purchased in January
or February of 1958 and resold i~aediatel~ to Gerald B. Howell, described in the
deed description ace~apenying appeal, ~ay be used for residential building p~ses
under the authority granted in Section 801-B, concerntug practical difficulties --~
--necessary ~*~dship in the way ef carrying out the strict letter ~f these reg-~-tione,
and as provided in Section 307 coneerning the umdersized lots

There was no one present who wished to speak either for or against the appeal.
Board studied the application and preliminary ~ap of Sterl~g ~arb~r Ho~e Sites.
By resolution of the Boar~ it was unani~ously agreed to gr~nt the special
exception on Lot No. 2 on preliminary mp off Sterling ~bor Ho~e Sites, a si_richard
exception for a corner lot permitting lecation ef the house not less +.h;~ 19-1/2
feet froa Robinso~ Road, as outlined on sketch sul~itted to the Building Inspector
with application No. 425.
It is believed that this will i~prove and e~h-~ce the character of the area
enclosed by Robinson Road.
The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for September 11, 1958, at 8 P.M.
