P.Mo on Thur~lay, September 18, 1958, in the Town Clerktm Offiee, ~outhold, New

Section 303. Fee Paid - $15.00.
Chairman opened the hearing by reading applioation for variance, letter to
applicant advi~-~ of date of public hearing and legal notioe with affidavit
free the offisial newspaper attesting to its publication.

PUBLIC HEARINGs A~peal No. 99 - Application of George Nenning, Victoria Drive,
Southold, New York, for a variance due to lack of access. No fee paid.
The Chairman opened the hearing by reading application, letter to applicant
advising of date _~_~d ti~e of public hearing and legal notice with affidavit frc~
the official newspaper attesting to publication.
There was no one present to speak either for or against the appeal. Board
~;_~i~ously granted the appeal for right o£ access as it was the feeling of the Board
that lot was of anple size to ~eet the zoning requirementse Access of 50t to L~t
No. 20, on ~ap of Reydon Heights by O. W. VanTu~l, dated June 14, 1949. 100' lot,
bounded on the east by Victoria Drive, north line 200' and bounded by land of Grits,
bounded on the west by lA.d formerly of Mary L. Dayton estate and on the south by
other lands of the applicant, an irregularly shaped lot.
It is the Board's understanding that the Town is in the process of taking over
Victoria Drive and other roads in the Reydon Heights Development of Edward Nidds.
PUBLIC HEARINGs Appeal No. 100 - Application of Willian Victoria, Ba~ View Road,
~uthold, New York, for a special exception to erect a sign. Fee Paid - ~15.00.
Chairman read the application, letter to applicant advising of date of public
hearing, legal notice with affidavit from the official newspaper attesting to its
publication and letter from Mr. Willia~ WickbAm, attorney for Mr. Victoria, to which
he attached a letter signed .by Elizabeth Bedell granting permission to William
Victoria to erect and w~intain a sign on her property in Peconic, Now York.
There was no one present to speak either for or against the appeal. Board
studied the application _~.~d unaninously granted the special exception to erect a
directional sign~ dimensions of which are to be appro~m~toly the sa~e as that
formerly advertising the Cedar Beach Inn in the ~_me location. Sign to advertise only
the facilities provided by Victoria's Cottages and to be located on the property of
Elizabeth Bedell, south side of Main Road, Peconic, New York.
Sign to be located not closer tb~n 5' fron a~ property line~ not to exceed
15'6e froa ground level to upper edge and lower edge of sign to be at least 3~ from
ground level. Per,it is valid until revoked.
Minutes of the ~eptember llth ~eeting were read. On ~otion ~ade by Mr. Rosenberg,
seconded by Mr. Bergen, and ~arried, Minutes were approved as submitted.
Chair.~__- read letter received from Mr. S.F. Sarnowski, ~ecretary of the Nassau
Point l~operty Owners Association, Inc., in which it was stated that he was attaching
a petition signed by the members and residents of the association with respect to
the parking of A~elo Petrucci on the south side of Bay Avenues
The B~ard uuanimously agreed to have the Ch~irm~ w~ite Mr. Sarnowski advising
that it was the board's ttuderstanding that the p&rking of trucks and equipment of
Angelo Petrucci occurs on Mr. Petruc~i's property and that it was also the board's
understand_~g that Mr. Petrucci conducts a non-conforming business established prior
to the enact~ant of the Zoning Ordinanco~ and to inform Mr. Sarnowski that the board
has no control of the situation referred t~ and assu~es that if Mr. Petrucci parked
his equipment wit~- the boundary lines of Bay Avenue it might be & ~atter for police
investigation.

By resolution the Board agreed to set the time of hearing on the application
of Olifford Tyler, application for & ~pecial Exception, for 9 P.M. on October
2, 1958. Legal notice to be published in the official newspaper on September 25,
1958.
Although hearing is scheduled for 9 P.M. on October 2, 1958, by resolution
Board agreed to meet at 8 P.M. on this date.
Next meeting of the Board is scheduled for 7~30 P.M. on Thursday, September
25, 1958.
Meeting adjourned at 10~35 P.M.
