Upon request of the Southold Town Building Department, I
made inspection of this one story framed dwelling with
accessory building and found the following violations;
Chapter 52, Housing Code, Town of Southold. I picked up
keys from the Val Stype real estate office in Mattituck,
and began inspection at approximately 1:45 P.M.
The dwelling consists~of kitchen, living room, dining
room, full bathroom, two bedrooms and an enclosed front
porch. Heat is furnished to all rooms from an oil fired
furnace located in full cellar.
Kitchen - Gas range, no shutoff valve at unit. Article
V, Section 52-52, B.2.
Cellar
- Stairs - open side requires handrail. Article
V. Section 52-27 B - Water pump electrical
hook-up, no ground connection. Article V,
Section 52-56 A.1.
Exterior of dwelling
Sewage drain system - perforated plate not
covering vent pipe. Article V, Section 52-51
C.8 - Trim and facia of building requires
painting - paint peeling leaving wood exposed
to elements. Article III, Sec. 52-31 B.
Accessory Building - Two car g~rage two windows missing
glass panes. Lean-to on south side - no
windows, roof missing, walls deteriorating, and siding on
ground. Attached chicken coop on north side - roofing has
hole - siding in ground. Article III, Section 52-30 A.B.,
Section 52-31 A.B.C., Section 52-62 B.
Inspection completed at appro~tely 2:20 P.M. and key
was returned to Mrs. Boyd, Val Styp~Agency.

A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in triplicate to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of oil buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2.Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposol--(S-9 form or equal).
3.Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5.Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
