Upon request of Gary F. Olsen, Esq., Mattituck, New York,
for a Pre-existing Certificate of Occupancy, I made an inspection
of this one-story, wood-framed dwelling and the accessory structure
on the premises. Accompanied by Dan Clark, I began this inspection
at approximately 10:30 A.M.
The dwelling consists of an enclosed porch which provides
front entry to building, a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, full
bathroom, and an enclosed porch at the rear of building. Heat is
supplied to building from a warm air furnace which is located in
the living room floor. This location is approximately centered in
the building. The furnace is an oil-fired unit. The building is
constructed on a cement block foundation and has a partial full
cellar; the balance of the foundation is crawl space.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52,
Town of Southold, New York, were found:
Kitchen - gas cooking range, no shut off valve at unit,
~ V, Section 52-52 B (2). Kitchen sink, waste line
runs directly to one of the cesspools on premises and it
is not tied into the building's soil line system, Article V,
Section 52-51 C (1).
Two-Car Garage -.(accessory building) roof of lean-to section
of garage which Ks located on the west side of building is
rotted away. Building is subject to the elements, Article V,
Section 52-31 C.
Buildings and grounds in fair condition.
