Chew Jr. occupied owner Upon request of Hull S. Chew Jr. for a Pre-Existing Certificate of Qccupancy, I made an inspection of the buildings at this premises. I was admitted to dwelling by M~. Chews housekeeper and began this inspection at approximately 10:~5 A.M. The dwelling is a one story wood framed structure constructed on a cement block foundation. Building contains a living room, three bedrooms, full bathroom, dining room and kitchen. Heat is furnished to all rooms from an oil fired hotwater furnace located in full cellar. A wood framed two car garage is located in the rear yard area. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of The Town of Southold, N.Y. were found: Stair-interior to cellar additional step at bottom is required. Present bottom riser is 19". Article II, Section 52-27 A. ElectricAl-Wall switch at front entry; plate missing, also plate plate missing from wall switch at entry to bedroom opposite bath- room. Article V, Section 52-56 A.1 Fire Safety-oil fired space heater located in garage accessory structure. Smoke stack run to chimney~ insufficient clearance from combustible wood frame and siding of exterior wall. Connection to thimble of chimney,insufficient masonry b~tween thimble and combustible material. Article V, Section 52-5~ A.1 & B. Inspection completed at approximately 11:05 A.M. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pro-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey.of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3.
