Upon request of R. Hudson, real estate broker, Greenport, New
York, I made an inspection of buildings on this premises.
Inspection this date was made of garage accesory structure and
exterior of dwelling starting at 10:30 A.M. and ending at 10:55 A.M.
Complete inspection was not possible since dwelling was not left
unlocked November 10.1977, at approximately 3:45 P.M. this inspection
was resumed and was completed at approximately 4:00 P.M.
The dwelling is a two story wood framed building constructed on a
cement block foundation. First floor contains a fron entry hallway,
living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, toilet room off pantry.
Second floor has four bedrooms and a full bathroom. Heat is supplied
to all rooms on first and second floors from an oil fired steam heat
furnace located in full cellar.
The following violations of the HOusing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the
Town of $outhold, New York were found:
Dwelling: Entry to kitchen, no means of controlling light in room at
point of entry. Art V, Sec. 52-56 B.2
Stairway to cellar open side requires hand rail, Art II,
Sec. 52-57 B
Plumbing. Section of lead waste pipe from the toilet room
just above connection to sewage system has a hold approximately one
half inch in diameter. Art. V, Sec. 52-51 A.1
Fuel Oil Supply tank within cellar-fill and vent pipes for
tank terminate within building. Art V, Sec. 52-59 C z
Front Porch Slab has excessive cracks and settlement causing
deformation. Art. III, Sec. 52-30 B
Electrical Exterior wall light at front entry; bracket
holding light socket is not secure to fixture and socket is supported
by wires supplying electrical current to fixture. Art V, Sec. 52-56
A-1 & 2
Chimney Bricks at top three courses have open joints and
some bricks are missing. Art V, Sec 52-54, A-1
Exterior Siding of dwelling-shingles are deteriorating and
many have weathered away. Art III, Sec. 52-31 B

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in triplicate to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation fram Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all praperty lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings~
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
