Occupied: owner Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate of Occupancy, I made an inspection of buildings at this location. I was admitted to dwelling by Mr. Burkitt and began this inspection at approximately 11:30 A.M. Dwelling is a one-story wood framed building constructed on a cement block foundation. Livable area consists of an enclosed porch that provides front entry to building, a living room, two bedrooms, full bathroom and kitchen. Heat is fur- nished to all rooms from an oil fired hot water furnace lo- cated in partial cellar. Two metal buildings are located in rear yard area. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, New York, were found: Entries front porch and kitchen, no means of controlling light in room at points of entry, Article V, Section 52-56 B 2. Gas cooking ranse - no shut off valve at unit, Article V, Section 52-52 B 2. Chi~ - asbestos pipe requires flashing at roof, Article III, Section 52-31 C. Metal accessory building on southwest corner of lot is over property line, a violation of the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Section 100-32 B. Inspection completed at ~oximately 12:00 P.M. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code co~pliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buJldlngs and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3. The Building Inspector found the following: A small metal shed with a concrete base is on property in the rear yard alongside the western edge of the rear property line. To validate the location of the shed as to the 3 foot setback requirement, it would be the responsibility of the concerned parties to have a certified survey with the setbacks applied.
