Howard Terry,B~ilding Inspector and NOrman Xltpp,Supervisor~R'G Terry Jr,TownOounsel. ~t was agreed that the Board of Appeals should meet regularly em Thursday ni~ts at the Town Olerk's Office at 7~50...%he frequency of the meetings to be determined by the a~ount of business to come before the board.~ Mr Terry suggested that he would be glad to ask Mr I~thkopf,law~er end author of a legal work on Zoi~of Rockville Oenter,to consult with us. An attempt was made to tentatively clarify procedures and rules which must be established by the Board in hearing and acting on appeals. It was agreed that an appeal can bem~dein person, by agent,or by cou~seleP~es,~ly such appeal would result from a rejection of application for a building permit by the Building Inspector,P~obably th~applicant would follow about the following procedure~ obtains p~oper ~ in duplicate, from To~n01erk~R ~ Terry was ~ to or,er these:~forma),fills out~formcompletewith additional sheet if necessary stating reasons for appeal,attaches $1~.O0 fee, leaves it with To~n~ 01erk,being sure:.th~t the original app~icat~on, is nct~rize~....tlie Board at its next regular meeting reads~the application and causes a notiC, to be prepared for the newspapers~in compliancewith the ordinance on the matter of public notice~hLts notice sets a date for a public hearing,~'resum~bly the following Thursday at the Town Clerk' s Office at 7~0 P.M..there was some discussion at this point of the mat~er of adjourning a he,ring until a future dete~ It was agreed that the Board should requ~witnesses to testify under oath.Mm Terry stated that the Ohairm~ or Acting Chairman can a~m~nister oath legally.The question of who would be acting chairman, in the absence~of the ch~irm-~ was resolve~.by aggree~ng that the order of seniority noted above would obtain.A minimum list of reasor~bly priced furniture was drawn up,includin~ a $ drawer legal sized, filing cabinet with lock, drafting board table, conferenc~ table(6' x ~O~ ),metal desk,6 chaire,typewrite~ & table.
