Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate
of Occupancy, after picking up the key from Floyd F. King Jr. Agency,
I made an inspection of the dwelling on this premises. I began this
inspection at approximately 2:00 P.M. by myself.
Located on this property is a two story, wood frame dwelling.
On the rear of the property is located a utility building.
The foundation for this dwelling is stone, with a partial cellar,
rest crawl space outside entrance only. Located in the cellar is a gas
fired hot air heater which supplies the heat for this dwelling; also
located there is a gas hotwater heater, water pump and tank and electric
panel. Most of the water pipes a~e galvanized pipes in poor shape.
First floor of this dwelling consists of a double door front
entrance, living room, kitchen with eating space, glassed in back porch,
two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The second story has two bedrooms, one-
half bathroom and a stairway landing to the attic. Heat is furnished to
all rooms.
On the outside of this dwelling sidewalk, roof and cornice are
all in good shape. The utility building needs repairs to the roof and
sills.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code
of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found:
No shut off for gas stove kitchen - Article V, Section 52-52
B2.
Steps to both front and back porches also some of the decking
is in very poor shape. Article III, Section 52-30 A & B.
Inspection completed at approximately 2:45 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
