I believe there are thoughtful codes set in place to assure that growth is in keeping with preexisting structures and neighborhoods. Variances should be granted when there is a compelling community interest. I feel it would be a mistake to allow Mr. Prizeman to build so close to the road—20 feet closer than allowed by code-- and so drastically change the character of the neighborhood. It is not in the interest of the community to allow such disregard for our building codes. Thank you for your consideration. We are against this voidance being issued. We understand Mr. Prizeman has asked to build a house 15' from the road. This is unacceptable to the neighbors who live on Monsel Lane . Has Mr. 'Prizeman informed you as to whether this house is being built for speculation or for himself? We understand there should be 100 ' between the cess pool and someones well point . Hasn't this been changed recently to 150' recently? What exactly is the distance of Butlers front yard well point to Mr. Prizeman's proposed cesspool? In 1968 , the Veritys asked for a variance for 1 square foot on an exiting foundation and was denied. At that time , there were no other houses around and they had to purchase a one foot strip of land. We believe Mr. Prizeman should comply with the zoning laws and be denied this variance . To have a house built right on the road is unacceptable to us . Reasonable effort should be made by the Board of Appeals to protect our enviorment.
