THURSDAY AUGUST 20, 2015
A Special Meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS was
held at the Southold Town Hall Annex, Capitol One Bank Building, First Floor conference
Room, 54375 Main Road at Youngs Avenue, Southold on Thursday August 20, 2015
commencing at 5:00 P.M.
Present were:
Gerard P. Goehringer, Member
George Horning, Member (via Stype)
Eric Dantes, Member
Vicki Toth, Zoning Board Assistant
Absent: Leslie Kanes Weisman, Chairperson/Member
Ken Schneider, Member
Call to Order at 5:10 P.M. by Member Goehringer.
DELIBERATIONS/POSSIBLE DECISIONS/RESOLUTIONS: The Board continued with
agenda items, and commenced deliberations on the following applications. The original
determinations of each of the following applications as decided are filed with the Southold
Town Clerk:

19. BOARD RESOLUTION:Motion was offered by Member Dantes, seconded by

A. RESOLUTION ADOPTED:Motion offered by Member Goehringer, seconded
by Member Dantes, to authorize advertising of hearings for the next Regular
Meeting to be held September 3, 2015 at 8:30 AM.Vote of the Board:Ayes:All.
This Resolution was duly adopted(3-0). Chairperson Weisman and Member
Schneider were absent.
B. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Member Goehringer,
seconded by Member Dantes, to approve minutes from Regular Meeting held
August 6, 2015.Vote of the Board: Ayes:All. This Resolution was duly
adopted (3-0). Chairperson Weisman and Member Schneider were absent.
WORK SESSION:
A. Requests from Board Members for future Agenda items.
B. Member Dantes suggested training on FEMA compliance.
POSSIBLE BOARD RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE FOLLOWING HEARING:
SOUTHOLD FARM and CELLAR, INC. (MEADOR)#6861—(Adjourned from 7/2/15 PH)
Request for Variances under Article III Code Section 280-13A(4) & 14, and Article XXIII
Section 280-124 and the Building Inspector's April 9, 2015, amended June 19, 2015 Notice of
Disapproval for a building permit for conversion of an existing building to a tasting room and
construction of a new winery building, at: 1) (winery building) less than the code required
minimum setback of 100 feet from a major road, 2) (winery building) located on a parcel less

RESOLUTION: Motion was offered by Member Goehringer, seconded by Member Dantes to
adjourn the hearing to the October 1, 2015 Public Hearing.Vote of the Board: Ayes:All. This
Resolution was duly adopted (3-0). Chairperson Weisman and Member Schneider were absent.
There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time, Member
Schneider declared the meeting adjourned. The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 P.M.
