the Mattituck Park District held on May 8, 2003, at the Park District office on
Main Road,Mattituck,New York, with all Commissioners present(Chairman
Gerard Goehringer, Walter Sabat and Jerome Zuhoski),together with Treasurer,
John Cushman, Secretary,Madeline Haas, Gaiil Faircloth, Gate Guard Attendant,
Absent, Jim Cox, Sr. Also present was Barbara Droskoski, Life Guard
Coordinator,Mr. Siegmann, Senior Citizen Representative,Kim Prokop, Easter
Egg Hunt Chairman, Lynn Summers a representative of interested people of the
happenings of Wolf Pit Lake.
Chairman Goehringer called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Jerry Zuhoski and carried,
the minutes as presented were approved.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Jerry Zuhoski and carried,
the Treasurer's report was approved as presented below and the following bills
were ordered paid:

Barbara Droskoski asked the Commissioners when they wanted to have
the life guards start working. They will work the weekend of June 21, 2003 and
start for the summer season on June 28,2003. Barbara requested the signs up on
the beach, especially the"No Swimming Beyond This Spot". She also said that
Southold Town swimming lessons are going to be held from July 3, 2003 through
July 11,2003. She has all her equipment. Jim Cox has to check on the medical
kits.
Mr. Siegmann then spoke about the hump in the bacchi court. He said
they can't play on them because the balls roll off the hump. All that really has to
be done is to level them out. Mr. Goehringer told Mr. Siegmann that he would
get in touch with East End Asphalt to come to level them. Mr. Siegmann was
satisfied with that and left the meeting.
Warren Sambach is waiting for the check of$447.00 for the site plans.
Mr. Goehringer asked Gail to deliver it to him.
It was reported the pickup was towed to Mullen Motors,The dump truck
is in for service and fuel tank gauge. The Hustler mower is to be replaced. The
John Deere mower needs a new deck.
A storage shed for the Aldrich Lane site was discussed. The Amish
furniture shed price was $2600.00. Jerry Zuhoski to get another price so this
matter was tabelled until he gets new figures.
The Park District is not going to mow the Strawberry Festival field.
Kim Prokof reported that the Easter Egg Hunt was a success. She handed
in the accounting of expenses. She also said that Country Time Bicycles
furnished 4 bicycles for prizes for the egg hunt at a cost of$318.00.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and
carried,Barbara Droskoski will be paid$4400.00 for the 2003 season.
Lynne Summers spoke on the Wolf Pit Lake—Fitzgerald situation. Gail
Wickham wants to know if the easement was to accommodate a fence or not.
On motion of Walter Sabat,seconded by Jerry Zuhoski and carried, Ben
Oliver is hired for the summer at$6.50 per hour.
The life guards are to be paid as follows:
1st Year - $11.00 per hour
2nd Year - $11.50
3rd Year - $11.75
4th Year - $12.00
5th Year - $12.50
6th Year - $12.75
7th Year - $13.00
Barbara Droskoski $4,400.00 for 2003 season.
All other Park personnel salaries are posted on the attached addendum
No further business to come before the meeting,on motion of Walter Sabat,
seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried,the meeting was adjourned.
