Schermeyer Town Clerk Generated 8/27/2015 Page 2 Southampton Town Board - Letter Board Meeting of August 25, 2015 nTOWN,, BOARD RESOLUTION 2015-866 Item # 6.27 °, j ADOPTED DOC 1D: 22972 Accept Draft Riverside Revitalization Action Plan (RRAP) as Complete for Purpose of Commencing SEQRA Review and Coordinate Lead Agency WHEREAS, the Town of Southampton is currently engaged in the preparation of a Brownfield Opportunity Area Program (BOA) Step 2 Nomination Strategy and Revitalization Plan for the Hamlet of Riverside; and WHEREAS, as part of the BOA the Town has entered into a Master Developer Agreement ("MDA") with Renaissance Downtowns that required Renaissance to work with the Town and the community to create the Riverside Revitalization Action Plan (RRAP) in order to restore this area to a vibrant community containing a mix of residential and commercial uses; and WHEREAS, Renaissance Downtowns has submitted a final draft of the Riverside Revitalization Action Plan (RRAP) dated July, 2015 that is intended as a guide to implement long-standing Town planning initiatives and community efforts to revitalize the Hamlet of Riverside; and WHEREAS, in order to implement the recommendations of the RRAP, the Town Board will consider the adoption of an optional overlay zone; and WHEREAS, the project has been identified as a Type I Action, pursuant to SEQRA regulations at 6 NYCRR §617.4; and WHEREAS, the Town Board is conducting coordinated review pursuant to §617.6(b)(3); and WHEREAS, the following are determined to be involved agencies: 1.
