The project is part of an assistance program to help the property’s owner. o The scope of work includes window replacement, and general repairs (leaders, o gutters, etc.) Because of the cost involved in replacing the windows with units that would be in o keeping with the historic home and the property owner’s limited budget, commissioners suggested that the contractor use “storm” windows to meet the needs of the applicant and avoid the need for LPC review. The contractor agreed to go back to the funding agency and discuss the project o further.  Updated Contact List: Damon Rallis, Administrative Assistant, passed around the commission’s contact list for updating and will make the list available at the next meeting.  Historic Lighthouses: Commissioner Webb presented a list of lighthouses within the town’s jurisdiction along with the dates that they were added to the National Registry. Based on the information, Damon Rallis explained that all of the lighthouses, with o the exception of Horton Point Light (which is on the town’s landmark registry), were not automatically added to the registry at the time of its creation. He further noted that the only way to add these lighthouses to the registry (and o placing them under the LPC’s jurisdiction) would be through voluntary request or town board action.  CPF Funds for Historic Preservation: Commissioners Surchin and Harper led a continued discussion of the possible use of Community Preservation Fund monies for historic preservation.  Floating Zone Legislation for Historic Church Structures/Sacred Heart: Commissioners presented updates on the status of both.
