Call to Order: 3:00 p.m. II. Approval of Minutes: June 15, 2014, with spelling error correction. III. Set Public Hearing  Commissioners voted to set a public hearing for Tuesday, August 19, at 3:30 p.m., regarding Asch (Nancy Steelman, Architect): Proposed additions and alterations to an existing single family dwelling at 290 Skippers Lane, Orient. Suffolk County Tax Map # 1000-25-1-1. (Resolution # 7.14.14.1) IV. Old Business  Commissioners reviewed and accepted the language of the Draft Certificate of Appropriateness for the Bertault project pending language regarding an arborist’s report.  th Chairman Grathwohl offered an update on Southold Town’s 375anniversary celebration. He said that the group was currently in its early stages but was already making plans for four to five major, town-wide events. Commissioner Edward Webb said that the Brecknock Hall Foundation would gladly offer its services for the event.  Chairman Grathwohl gave commissioners an update on the joint corridor project with the Riverhead LPC and announced that there would be a town board work session regarding the issue at 9 a.m. on July 29 and a public information meeting, in Jamesport, on August 14.  Commissioners discussed the issue of endangered churches on the North Fork. There were no new updates on the Sacred Heart Church, Cutchogue or the proposed “floating zone” draft memo created by the building department. Don Feiler announced that there was a meeting scheduled with the town supervisor to discuss the unique problems posed by the recent closure of the Southold Methodist Church.  Edward Webb discussed the need to come up with a plan to protect offshore lighthouses in Southold Town. Commissioners agreed to discuss the matter further.  Chairman Grathwohl announced that Zachery Studenroth contacted him regarding the Ben Franklin Mile Marker project and said that he was unable to secure a significant piece of funding for the project. Chairman Grathwohl said that other funding options would be considered. V. New Business  Chairman Grathwohl announced that he would be submitting the commission’s budget for 2015. He said that he would be requesting the same amount outlined in the 2014 approved budget. Next Meeting: Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 3 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex
